Patient-Centric Approach

Our goal is to keep our patients safely active and pain-free. Dr. Shore’s comprehensive approach includes a thorough risk-benefit analysis for each patient, ensuring tailored treatment plans that prioritize long-term joint health.

Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and treat various hip joint issues, such as labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), and cartilage damage. By using small incisions and specialized instruments, this procedure reduces recovery time, minimizes pain, and promotes quicker rehabilitation compared to traditional open surgery.

The anterior approach hip replacement is a modern, muscle-sparing technique for total hip arthroplasty. Unlike traditional methods, this approach involves accessing the hip joint from the front, which avoids cutting through major muscles. This results in faster recovery, reduced postoperative pain, and improved mobility, allowing patients to return to their daily activities sooner.

Periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is a specialized surgical procedure used to treat hip dysplasia. The surgery involves reorienting the hip socket to provide better coverage of the femoral head, thereby improving joint stability and function. PAO helps alleviate pain, enhance joint mechanics, and prevent the progression of arthritis in affected patients.

Piriformis release and sciatic nerve neurolysis are procedures designed to relieve sciatic nerve pain caused by compression from the piriformis muscle. By releasing the tight muscle and freeing the nerve, these treatments reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function, addressing the root cause of sciatic nerve irritation.

Orthobiologics refers to the use of biological substances to aid in the healing of musculoskeletal injuries. Treatments such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and cell therapy harness the body’s natural healing capabilities to regenerate tissue, reduce inflammation, and accelerate recovery. These advanced therapies offer promising outcomes for patients with various orthopedic conditions.

Hamstring repair is a surgical intervention for treating severe hamstring injuries, including tears and avulsions. The procedure involves reattaching the torn muscle or tendon to its original position, restoring muscle function and strength. Effective hamstring repair allows patients to regain their full range of motion and return to their physical activities.

Gluteus medius and minimus repair addresses tears or damage to these important hip muscles. The surgical procedure involves reattaching and repairing the muscles to restore stability and function to the hip joint. By correcting these issues, patients experience reduced pain and improved mobility, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Hip Osteoarthritis

Manage Hip Osteoarthritis: Non-surgical treatments include weight management, therapy, medications, injections, devices, and heat therapy. Surgical options like arthroscopic debridement or total hip replacement may be needed if non-surgical methods fail. Post-surgery, rehabilitation with therapy and assistive devices aids recovery. Improve quality of life despite this chronic condition.

Periacetabular Osteotomy (PAO)

PAO (Periacetabular Osteotomy): A surgical fix for hip dysplasia. Misalignment of the acetabulum causes pain and mobility issues. PAO repositions the hip socket, easing pain and delaying arthritis. It's ideal for younger patients, preserving the joint and restoring function. Complex but effective, it offers relief without immediate replacement surgery.

Hip Instability

Hip Instability: Unstable hip joint causes pain, clicking, and possible dislocation. Traumatic or atraumatic, from sports injuries to congenital issues. Diagnose with history, exam, and imaging. Treat with therapy or surgery like hip arthroscopy. Comprehensive care for improved mobility and quality of life.
